The Etna Avenue Wesleyan Church wants to partner with you to help those in the Huntington community who are in need over the cold winter months.

Please donate a NEW blanket (handmade or bought). We want these families to know they are valued in our city.

Girl Scout Volunteer Recruitment

Girl Scouts of Limberlost Council is holding a mass recruitment event on October 24, 2006 from 7-8 PM at the Boys and Girls Club of Huntington Co (608 E. The Huntington County Council on Aging needs a person, or persons, and materials to build ramps for homes of people who are wheelchair bound or have other mobility problems.

Benefit Concert for Cancer Survivor - Aug. 27th
Faith Community Church of God
You are invited to join us as we host a FREE Benefit Concert on Sunday August 27th for Mitch VanNess. Mitch is a 14 year old boy in our Youth Group who was diagnosed with cancer. Scheduled appearances are Hot Sundae, Raising Daybreak, and 4Given. Doors open at 5:30pm, with concert starting at 6pm. Concessions will also be available. This event is free and open to the public so be sure to bring your whole family for an evening of worship, and lots of fun! Plan to attend!

Summer Volunteers
Boys and Girls Club of Huntington County
We are in need of summer time volunteers. Starting May 30th we begin our summer programs. We will be offering programs like scrapbooking, cooking club, healthy smiles, Yu-gi-oh fan club, sports fan club, a healthy habits club, dance club, photography club, and much more . The club will be open Monday thru Friday from 12pm to 5:30pm. We need volunteers to come in and just mentor kids. You can volunteer as little as an hour a week or all week, it's entirely up to you! Tutors Needed
The Huntington County Literacy Coalition
The Huntington County Literacy Coalition could use some adult literacy tutors. Tutors meet with students to assist in the development of reading and math skills, typically with a goal of passing the GED exam. Times and dates are flexible, depending on the arrangments made between tutors and their students.
